Companies spend a lot of time, money and energy to gain
and hold markets, so they need every positive input available.
Executives can experience major difficulties when they
do not know the skills and characteristics of their staff
members or who can be relied upon. When the abilities and
capabilities of staff members are unknown, in critical
situations many executives try to carry the task of removing
the threat on their own, not being able to delegate or
to rely on their people. This often results in loss of
focus, delaying other important issues or cutting corners
with dire consequences.
